• Raychem SCL (TM) • SCL tubes are semi-rigid heat-shrinkable tubes that melt inside walls. Various electrical components such as wire splices, breakouts, and electronic components can be enclosed in one step to ensure moisture resistance.
• The crosslinked polyolefin produced by electron beam irradiation shrinks when the outer wall is heated above 135°C, and the inner wall that melts at 100°C shrinks outside the tube and flows into cracks and crevices.
• As it cools, the entire cover becomes a rigid and strong uniform cover, and the coating thickness remains constant.
• The SCL (R) shrinks to 17~40% of its original diameter in terms of size. Therefore, several sizes are required to cover special shapes of different dimensions.
• It is not affected by most solvents and chemicals, and is not corrosive when it comes in contact with the joints of electrical components. SCL also has high insulation resistance (240 -410 kV/cm dep***ing on the coating thickness).
